Global Silver Medallists Face Off at Millrose Games

Global silver medallists Laura Muir and Elle St Pierre – the two most recent winners of the Wanamaker Mile at the Millrose Games – will once again face off at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting on 11 February.

Olympic 1500m silver medallist Muir made her Wanamaker Mile debut last year, claiming victory in 4:20.15. The 2022 world bronze medallist holds the British record for the distance outdoors, having clocked 4:15.24 last year.

“World indoor silver medallist” St Pierre set a meeting and North American record of 4:16.85 to win the Wanamaker Mile in 2020. The 2024 indoor season marks St Pierre’s return to the track following the birth of her first child.
