Julien Alfred, the second-fastest woman in history over 60m, is set to take on an impressive field of Olympic medalists at the prestigious Millrose Games – a World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting – on February 11th.
The sprinting sensation from St. Lucia, who holds the North American record of 6.94 seconds in the 60m, will face off against a formidable lineup. This includes the 2019 world 200m champion, Dina Asher-Smith of Great Britain, who holds national records across multiple sprint distances.
Also in the mix are notable names such as 2016 Olympic 4x100m champion English Gardner of the USA, and Jamaica’s Briana Williams, who struck gold in the 4x100m relay at the 2021 Olympics.
Alfred, who went undefeated in the 100m from April to August last year, will be looking to make her mark on the indoor circuit. After finishing fifth in the 100m at the World Championships and fourth in the 200m, the young talent will undoubtedly be eager to showcase her speed and determination on the Millrose stage.
