Rome, Italy – Athletics enthusiasts in Italy are in for a treat as the nation’s star athletes, including Olympic gold medalists, are set to compete in the upcoming World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships in Antalya, Turkey, on April 21.

The Italian squad boasts an impressive lineup, led by the dynamic duo of Antonella Palmisano and Massimo Stano, who claimed Olympic glory in the 20km race walk events. They will be joined by a strong marathon race walk mixed relay team, which also features Francesco Fortunato, the 2023 European Team Championships winner, and Olympian Valentina Trapletti.

Italy will be aiming to secure two spots for the marathon race walk mixed relay at the Paris Olympics, and the team’s wealth of talent and experience could prove pivotal in achieving this goal.
